He has produced over 1500 illustrations and paintings for book, magazine and art publishers, advertising agencies, design firms, film companies and corporations. Throughout his prestigious illustration career, he has won numerous industry awards, and is listed in the Illustration House’s “Illustrator In America”. Some of his clients include: The Readers Digest, the US Postal Service, the United Nations, Time/Life, Disney Studios, Bantam/Doubleday/Dell, Simon and Schuster, Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. His work is in many individual and corporate collections, some of which include: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood, the Booth Western Art Museum, Philip Morris, Robert Goulet, the Vermont State House, and NIKE.
He has written and published articles for several art industry publications, conducted oil painting and illustration workshops, and been a guest lecturer at several colleges, universities and industry organizations.
Beginning in 2002, Michael switched his focus from illustration to painting and selling his original oils and doing commissioned portraiture. In the last four years he has done several one man shows and been included in several group shows. He has won two awards at the National Oil Painters of America shows in 2004 and 2005. Michael recently relocated to Conneautville, PA., where he works out of his home studio.
